Parent & Child/ Youth Talks
New for June 2025, we are offering a series of sessions to facilitate discussion between parents and children on various challenging topics. With a RCC to help facilitate the conversations and ensure healthy dialogue.
The theme for June is Social Media.
We are currently accepting registration for three sessions to help provide lifelong value to parents and children.
June 11 - Introductions
Location: North Shuswap Health Centre
Time: 6:30-8:00pm
We will begin with icebreakers to create a comfortable space where people can start to begin to feel they can share. Followed by a listening activity and concluding with a homework activity assignment.
June 18 - Social Media & Its Effects
Location: North Shuswap Health Centre
Time: 6:30pm-8:00pm
In this session we will discuss the research and findings around the impacts of social media on the brain, family and individuals. Homework will be assigned after the session for further at-home development.
June 25 - Review Learning
Location: North Shuswap Health Centre
Time: 6:30pm-8:00pm
We will review learning from across all three sessions and give feedback on the course. There will also be an opportunity to sign up for next Parent and Child talks in September.
